Instructions to the students from Shashank Gupta Sir
Dear Students,
I encourage you to approach this question bank not just as a tool for practice, but as a means to
develop critical thinking and analytical skills. By engaging with the problems presented here, you will
gain the confidence and expertise needed to tackle the IIT JEE with resilience.First of all, attempt the exercises in this question bank only after completing the chapter,
because each exercise contains a mix of question types—easy, moderate, and difficult—covering the entire chapter.Based on my experience over the past several years, I would like to suggest a few strategies so that you
can get the most out of it.
- Do solve each and every exercise in a timed manner, and devote approximately 60 minutes in one go.
- After completing the exercise, check your answers and give yourself marks according to the standard JEE marking scheme, and write those marks above the exercise.
- Analyzing every exercise and every question is very necessary; otherwise, there is no difference between you and someone who has not attempted this exercise.
Follow this with self-introspection: why did it go wrong, or why could you not solve it?
You will now require some time to re-analyze the exercise—try the questions again, and if needed, seek help from the solutions provided here or from your teachers.
Remember my words: solutions are like sweet poison, and you should use them judiciously to get the maximum benefit.
Nothing will happen unless you do it on your own.- After some days, attempt this exercise once again, note the improvement in your marks, and write the new score below the previous one. Then, repeat point three.
Always remember one line
“Everybody wants to go to heaven, but no one wants to die.”
So, you will have to do your part of the hard work on your own—no one else will do it for you.
Your preparation in Mathematics will boost your confidence in other subjects as well.
A very happy preparation journey, and all the best for your future.
